Lady of Shalott

Yo yo my fellow blog people. So, yes, I'm a little down after the latest Badger mishap, but I'm recovering nicely. Just went out for a leisurely bike ride to the library and back, picking up some foreign flicks and a Jonny Lang CD. :)

Last night I was with my mom and we enjoyed a great dinner at Tutto Pasta and musical (The Drowsy Chaperone) at the Overture Center. At dinner, my mom was scanning the menu, when she announced to me an ingredient in one of the dishes: "Shalotts," she proudly declared. To which I replied, "Uh, don't you mean shallots?!?!" My mouth hung open, half amused and half worried to death for my poor mother's sanity. Needless to say, I teased her about it until she reached across the table and hit me on the head with a menu. It was funny and the pasta was good.

Moving along...this morning, the two of us went to breakfast (I know, loads of mother/daughter bonding time) and I made another joke about her shalott issue. She said she wasn't looking forward to the fact that I would probably tell the story to all my friends. I figured this was the best venue to get the news out quickly: my mom is dumb.

Well, happy spring, everyone. Happy March, let the madness continue.
